And the Week is Back
This weekend was just as busy as my weekdays have been but thankfully the weather has been pretty mild. On Saturday I got to visit the Ghibli museum and feel like a little kid again. If you even remotely like even one Ghibli film (Sprited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl’s Moving Castle, Totoro, etc) then this is the place for you. You don’t need to devote an entire day for it, just purchase a ticket in advance and set some time for a short museum exclusive film, check out the exhibits, grab lunch and just get lost in this Mitaka treasure.
This morning I caught up on some homework, did laundry, had a Skype session with the husband then left to meet a friend in Harajuku. We walked around Yoyogi Park for some people watching then to Shibuya for dinner at a monster/jail themed restaurant named The Lock Up. After walking through a haunted house-esque entrance, you’re handcuffed and led to your seat. About thirty minutes into our meal the lights went out, sirens blared and people dressed as monsters began running through the restaurant, scaring diners and being attacked by the “fighter” waitresses. Pretty awesome and different experience….good way to end the weekend.
